Here’s another awesome Doctor Who article that is leagues above the trash Charlie Jane Anders writes for io9. It underlines the big elephant in the room with Doctor Who fans, The only reason fangirls fangirl over Ten is because he is cute when in reality, he’s an arrogant asshole.

Yeah, Rose was an arrogant bitch of a child who blew up the whole universe just because she could not get over The Doctor. A lot of people for some reason project themselves so much on her even though she is a completely detestable human being. Martha on the other hand made a lot of personal sacrifices during her time with the Doctor, she freaking allowed herself to be a slave in a racist era of england just to watch over the Doctor, She saved the universe countless times on her own and all the thanks that she gets is that she’ll never be as good as Rose? Give me a fucking break.

I’m sorry but looking at Rose now after seeing how exceptional Martha Jones, Donna Noble, Amelia Pond and Rory Williams have been, she’s just a waste of a companion slot. Sure you had a big ass gun when you jumped into our dimension (thus causing the walls to crack) to get back to your boyfriend, But you sure as hell did not walk the entire world for a year, alone as it crumbled at the hands of the master; you sure as hell didn’t give your own life and your memories to save the universe. Plus guess what? You’ll never be as important to the Doctor’s life as Amy Pond and her family are.
