Superman has always been the toughest superhero to write stories for. Quite frankly the only real memorable story from him is his origin. He is just way too powerful and invulnerable to mine any decent compelling stories out of, not to mention revered. That’s why we’re always left with stories of villains brandishing some kryptonite just to make it look like they have a fighting chance.

my old thesis for my undergrad was about a kid who becomes a superhero. The main inspiration for his story was the movie “Flight of the Navigator”, but the ship eventually evolved into a robot that gave him super powers. This eventually evolved to create this elaborate mythos around him, which I’ll explain in the future…
I decided to submit a redesign of Black Canary to a contest by Project: Rooftop. I don’t think I’ll win, but I look forward to the critiquing part.

“Astonishing X-Men” by Joss Whedon
My personal favorite X-Men story involves the return of Kitty Pryde to the X-Men as they hope to return to just being super heroes, along the way they encounter what is perceived to be a mutant cure, the resurrection of an old friend, a malfunctioning Danger Room, The return of an old foe and the rise of a new one, from another planet.
